Why does it seem as though there are hundreds of male sexual enhancement supplements out there?  Because there are and because there always has been.  And because there always will be.

Men want to believe fixing their sexual health problems is as easy as taking a pill.  Better yet, how about forgetting the prescription and getting an over-the-counter fix?  This is especially true when it comes to men’s sexual matters and being reluctant to talk with your doctor about your sex life.

So along comes an ad for male supplements that claim they’re better than prescription drugs for erectile dysfunction.  That’s great because you avoid the hassle and embarrassment of seeing a doctor to get a pill that works better than prescriptions.  Is that wrong?  Not at all, but first you need to know how and why these supplements can do the ED trick.

There are herbal supplements that can work for male sexual dysfunction and we’ll get to those but how do we know they work?  Studies have been conducted where subjects are divided into research treatment groups.  One group of participants takes a sugar pill, a placebo, and the other group gets the investigational medicine.

Here’s the wild thing about placebos.  If you look at the initial clinical trials that brought Sildenafil, better known by its brand name, Viagra, to market, 30% of the men in the placebo group reported better erections!  That’s right, 30%!  No active ingredient, just the hope that the pill that man takes is going to improve his erections.

So, if a supplement has a similar effect, 30% of the men taking it are going to report a good result and probably tell their friends and provide testimonials.1

The food and drug administration (FDA) does not regulate supplements – only prescription drugs.  A prescription drug has to go through years of research, starting in the laboratory, moving to animal studies and finally to highly monitored human trials.

There are additional herbs when used properly that can contribute to a good physique, potency, strength, and complexion, being sexually exhilarated and sexually potent.  Many men swear by these herbs and the positive effect they have on their existing ED condition.

The Bad.

The list is too long to analyze which supplements are bogus and those that aren’t but some products advertise false assertions without any real proof.  It’s best to research these supplements and then draw your own conclusions.3

With the right supplements, when you know you’re going to bed with a woman, you will no longer worry or be stressed wondering if you’re going to be able to get it up.  Lust, sexual desire, sexuality, eroticism, passion, sex drive, sexual urge, the hots…don’t run from these emotions.  Embrace them!
